Today I went all over the city armed with my camera, ready to take a picture at every turn. My first stop was Trafalgar Square. It pretty much consisted of two giant fountains and a gallery. There was also a statue of this giant blue rooster, which I still do not fully understand. After that we went to Buckingham Palace. It was absolutely stunning and I loved watching the Kings Guards stand stationary for long periods of time and then start marching and swinging their arms profusely to stretch (at least thats what I thought they were doing). We walked through Green Park and went to Piccadilly Circus afterwards. The best way to describe Piccadilly Circus is it is the London version of Times Square. They have giant light up billboards and even an M&M Store which I will take full advantage of. After this very very long walk all over the city we sat down at a cute little pub near our flat to relax a bit ;) I was a little offended however when the lady at the pub asked me to show my ID. Let me remind everyone that the drinking age here is 18, therefore she must have been implying that I look younger then 18, and as the 20 year old I am, I do not appreciate this at all. Anyways I have acquired my address so if anyone would like to send me any air mail it would be much appreciated :) ( after photos)
