My Arrival at Heathrow

So I finally made it to London after many semesters of planning, and I am completely overwhelmed. The people on my trip are incredible and I have already made so many friends! When I got to JFK this morning I couldn't believe I was finally leaving. Now that I'm here I think I have made one of the best decisions of my life. We landed in Heathrow airport around 4:30 am USA time, and although it was a pretty sleepless night due to highly uncomfortable seats and crying babies, I was ready to explore my home for the next 4 months. Of course, first stop was the pub right across the way. The name of it is A Hole in the Wall, and I'm almost positive we will be there frequently during our stay. After that we just walked around and bought some fish and chips like the typical tourists we are. My very first culture shock after getting off the plane was the toilets in the airport! There were no backs to them and you had to push a button on the wall which I have to admit took me a few minutes to figure out. After that we got into our coach bus and started driving on the wrong side of the road! I thought I would be prepared for that but it still felt so strange. Unfortunately, I don't have any decent pictures to post yet but I will post as soon as possible!!! I will also post my address on here in case anyone would like to send me anything :) I will try to post as frequently as possible and keep you updated on all of my crazy shenanigans while I am abroad!
